Poland Joint Fire District Special Election LEGAL NOTICE FOR SPECIAL ELECTION OF THE POLAND JOINT FIRE DISTRICT: February 10, 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election of the Poland Joint Fire District will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 between the hours of 4 pm and 9 pm at the Town of Russia Municipal Building located at 8916 S Main St, Poland, NY 13431 to approve a resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners on November 18, 2025 for an election upon the referendum upon the following question: Should the Poland Joint Fire District proceed to dissolution according to the provisions of Title 3, Article 17-a of the New York General Municipal Law. Only residents registered to vote with Herkimer County Board of Elections or Oneida County Board of Election on or before January 20, 2026 and who are residents of the Poland Joint Fire District on or before January 11, 2026, shall be eligible to vote.
