Blum Construction and Right Build International has been selected, in a Joint Venture, as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Fayetteville State University and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment and tools for the Helen T. Chick Building Renovation project in Fayetteville, NC.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Renovations to the existing Helen T. Chick Building on Fayetteville State's campus, originally constructed in 1968. The building is approximately 45,363 SF, divided across 3 stories, and currently houses student support programs affiliated with the school. Renovations to include replacement of existing handrails to meet building code, modification of existing hydraulic elevator to meet AHJ requirements, selective interior demolition and asbestos abatement, doors, frames & hardware changes, with new interior paint, finishes and specialties. ADA upgrades to include new toilet rooms on Level 1. This project also addresses targeted fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and electrical upgrades.
