Presque Isle Electric & Gas Legal Notice Legal Notice Presque Isle Electric & Co-Operative, 19831 M-68 Hwy, Onaway, MI announces that it is planning to apply a herbicide to its right-of-way in order to maintain the reliability of its power system. The herbicide will be applied with hand pumped-backpack style sprayers, or UTV mounted sprayers. The crews will selectively apply herbicides to woody tree species throughout the right-of-way as needed. Crop areas and gardens will be avoided. Herbicides that will be used are a combination of the following: Garlon 3A (active ingredient: Triclopyr), Milestone (AI: Aminopyralid), Escort XP (AI: Metsulfuron Methyl), Garlon 4 Ultra (AI: Triclopyr), Stalker (AI: Isopropylamine Salt of Imazapyr), and Arsenal (A.I.: Imazapyr) with water or basal oil as a diluent. The application is scheduled for March 16th through December 31st in Cheboygan County and Presque Isle County. All treatments will be completed according to label requirements and all state and federal requirements. Please keep people and pets off treated areas until sprays have dried. There are no restrictions on your use of the treated area after the material has dried on the plant. Thunder Bay Tree Service has been contracted to perform this work.
