Proposed Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks Land Exchange The New Mexico State Land Office (NMSLO) and the Bureau of Land Management Las Cruces District Office (BLM) are hosting a public meeting to gather feedback regarding a proposed land exchange in which the NMSLO would transfer landlocked parcels within the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument to the BLM in exchange for lands appropriate to the NMSLO's mission to earn revenue for public institutions.
