PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT Bengie Luyando has applied to the Land Use Board of the Town of Hackettstown for a variance to permit a home occupation consisting of a gun smithing business including repairs, adjustments restorations, consulting education and on-line/off-site firearm sales. The proposed home occupation is proposed to be conducted in the applicant's garage in a secure room utilizing a secured vault. No more than two clients are proposed at the residence at any one time. All activities will be licensed and regulated pursuant to all local, state and federal regulations. The home occupation is not a permitted use in the R-12.5 zone and requires a use variance pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-70d(1). The Applicant also requests any other waivers or variances deemed necessary by the Board. Regarding the property known as Block 65.01 Lot 2, Commonly known as 311 Cook Street. A hearing before the Land Use Board has been scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on June 23, 2026 at the Municipal Building, 215 West Stiger Street, Hackettstown, at which time you may appear to ask any questions or raise any objections to the granting of the variance requested. The application, maps, and related information are available for inspection at the Land Use Board Office in the Municipal Building during the hours of 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
