Public Hearing Notice PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE Lease-Up Deposit and Utility Clearance Policy Date of Hearing: October 28th, 2025 Time: 2:00pm Location: 3920 Peggy St. Raceland, LA 70394 Hosted By: Housing Authority of Lafourche Parish Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held to discuss and receive public input on the proposed Lease-Up Deposit and Utility Clearance Policy that will become effective January 1st, 2026. This policy outlines the requirements for lease-up deposits and the procedures for verifying utility clearance prior to occupancy in housing units managed or overseen by The Housing Authority of Lafourche Parish Purpose of the Hearing: • To present the proposed policy framework • To explain how the policy affects prospective tenants and property managers • To gather feedback from residents, stakeholders, and community members Summary of Proposed Policy: • Lease-Up Deposit Requirements: Establishes the amount, timing, and acceptable forms of deposit for new lease agreements. • Utility Clearance Procedures: Defines the process for confirming that all required utilities can be placed in the applicant's name. Copies of the proposed policy are available for review at 3920 Peggy St. Raceland, LA 70394 beginning September 26, 2025 during normal business hours for approximately 45 days. Written comments will be accepted for the next 45 days to the contact listed below.
