Public Hearing Notice Public Hearing Notice Regarding Vacated Tenants Collection Policy Hearing Date: October 28th, 2025 Time: 3:00pm Location: 3920 Peggy St. Raceland, LA 70394 Hosted By: Housing Authority of Lafourche Parish Pursuant to applicable housing regulations and in accordance with 24 CFR 903.17 notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held to discuss and receive public comments on the proposed Vacated Tenants Collection Policy that will become effective January 1, 2026. Purpose of the Hearing: To review and consider the adoption of a policy outlining procedures for the collection of unpaid rent, fees, and damages from tenants who have vacated rental units. The proposed policy may include: Procedures for issuing final account statementsUse of third-party collection agenciesLegal remedies for unresolved balancesTenant notification and dispute resolution processes Public Participation: All interested parties, including current and former tenants, community members, and stakeholders, are encouraged to attend and provide input.
