Public Hearing- Notice of Intent to Enter into Lease Agreement CITY OF WEST LIBERTY, IOWA PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT OF THE WEST LIBERTY CITY COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE WEST LIBERTY & RURAL TOWNSHIPS FIRE & RESCUE AGENCY FOR THE USE OF AN AMBULANCE FOR THE CITY OF WEST LIBERTY AMBULANCE DEPARTMENT PUBLIC HEARING TO ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND PARTIES IN INTEREST WHO ARE ENTITLED TO NOTICE OF THE WEST LIBERTY CITY COUNCIL'S INTENT TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WTH THE WEST LIBERTY & RURAL TOWNSHIPS FIRE & RESCUE AGENCY FOR THE USE OF AN AMBULANCE FOR THE CITY OF WEST LIBERTY AMBULANCE DEPARTMENT SPECIAL MEETING TO BE HELD ON JUNE 30th, 2026, AT 6:00 P.M. LOCATED AT 111 W 7TH ST. WEST LIBERTY, IA, 52776, CITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING You are hereby notified that the City Council of West Liberty, Iowa, intends to enter into a lease agreement with the West Liberty & Rural Townships Fire & Rescue Agency for the use of an ambulance for the City of West Liberty Ambulance Department. The lease agreement is set for $1.00, plus all the fuel, routine maintenance, and repair of any damage occurring during the lease period (ordinary wear and tear expected.) The City of West Liberty shall be responsible for routine maintenance and shall return it to the West Liberty & Rural Townships Fire & Rescue Agency at the end of the lease period in a substantially similar condition as it was leased. The City of West Liberty shall be responsible for any loss or damage to the ambulance during the lease term, except for ordinary wear and tear. Any repairs exceeding $1,000.00 shall require prior approval from the West Liberty & Rural Townships Fire & Rescue Agency, unless emergency repairs are necessary to protect public safety.
