The City of Pekin has scheduled an open house Public Information Meeting to present the proposed rehabilitation to Broadway Street in the City of Pekin. The limits of the project will extend from the intersection of Broadway Street and 14th Street to the intersection of Broadway Street and Arrow Street.
The Public Information Meeting is being held in an open house format, which means that interested citizens can attend any time that is convenient from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The meeting is accessible to special needs individuals.
Citizens are encouraged to view the exhibits, provide comments, and ask questions about the project. The meeting will address topics including the need for the project, conceptual design, planned partial lane closures, right-of-way acquisition information, and the tentative project schedule. Temporary construction easements will be required for the construction. City staff and members of the consultant team will be available to answer questions.
The purpose of the project is to provide needed roadway resurfacing due to age as well as improvements to existing pedestrian infrastructure.
