Public Notice – Gaston County 2026 Urgent Repair Program Gaston County is seeking contractors and sub-contractors M/WBE (Minority/Women Business Enterprises) to bid on Urgent Repair Projects for homes in Gaston County. Gaston County has been awarded $165,000 by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) under the 2026 cycle of the Urgent Repair Program to assist Gaston County residents. This program provides funds to assist very-low and low-income households in addressing housing conditions that pose imminent threats to their life and/or safety or in providing accessibility modifications and other repairs necessary to prevent displacement. Contractors and sub-contractors are required to have their RRP certifications, have recent work inspected, and carry a certificate of Insurance. This program is sponsored by Gaston County with funds provided by the NC Housing Trust Fund.
