Public Notice Hearing
BEFORE THE TOWN OF SECAUCUS ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, March 9th, at 7:00 p.m., the Zoning Board of
Adjustment of the Town of Secaucus will hold a public hearing at the Town of Secaucus, 1203
Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, to consider an application by Jamie Meyers (Applicant) for a
variance application approval for the property located at 1137 Stonewall Lane, Secaucus, New
Jersey, also known as Block 217, Lot 23, on the Town of Secaucus Tax Map. The property is
located within the TRA Zone.
Applicant proposes to construct a 1 story addition and an extension to the existing one-story
single-family dwelling, resulting in a total of 2 stories, and therefore a variance is necessary.
The applicant's proposal was denied for the following reasons: Expanding a non-conforming
structure. Existing insufficient: Side Yards: ART III, Section 135-7.1 Par. A. (5) (Existing right
front corner 3.8 feet). Insufficient: Side Yards: ART III, Section 135-7.1 Par. A. (5) (Proposed left
side stairs 4.2 feet). Location of Driveway: ART III, Section 135-7.2. Par. B. (No driveway shall
lead to the front facade of a residence unless it provides access to an attached garage.)
Driveway Curb Cut Width: ART III, Section 135-7.2. Par. C. (1) (a). Driveway Width: ART III,
Section 135-7.2. Par.C. (1) (b) (Proposing 18 foot wide driveway, maximum allowed 12 feet).
The application and all supporting maps, site plans, and documents are on file in the office of
the Zoning Board of Adjustment at the Town of Secaucus, New Jersey, and are available for
public inspection Monday through Friday during normal business hours, excluding holidays. Any
interested party may appear at the aforesaid hearing, either in person or by attorney, and will be
given an opportunity to be heard with respect to the application.
