Public Notice
Notice is hereby given that the Greater Lafourche Port Commission has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification to dredge portions of and install a 2,360 feet bulkhead in Bayou Lafourche and Flotation Canal off Norman Doucet Drive. An access road will also be constructed. Dredged material will be placed in a previously permitted spoil disposal area off Flotation Canal Road. All work will occur in Port Fourchon, Lafourche Parish. The Greater Lafourche Port Commission is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act.
