Notice is hereby given that Capchem Technologies USA, Inc. has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification
to clear, grade, excavate, and place fill to construct an integrated carbonate solvent and electrolyte facility that
includes a carbon dioxide refinery, electrolyte workshop, cooling towers, tank farm, warehouses, a stormwater
pond, associated process facilities and plant utilities, and storage and loading facilities. Additionally, a wastewater
discharge effluent line and heavy haul road with mooring points will be constructed. All work will occur near or
on the left descending bank of the Mississippi River Prior off River Road and Ashland Road south of Geismar in
Ascension Parish. Capchem Technologies USA, Inc. is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental
Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority
contained in the LAC 33 :IX.1507 .A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act.
