Public Notice Notice is hereby given that Illinois Central College (ICC) and the State of Illinois Capital Development Board plan to undertake the replacement of architectural panels, windows, and door systems at the Academic Building within ICC's college campus located in East Peoria Illinois. The project is subject to review under the Illinois State Agency Historic Preservation Act. The project includes the removal of existing exterior façade and building envelope components, which will be replaced with similar components of a different material and finish than the existing. Under the Illinois State Agency Historic Resources Protection Act (Public Act 86-707; 20 ILCS 3420), the Illinois State Historic Preservation Office has determined that the project will result in an adverse effect to the Academic Building. The State of Illinois Historic Preservation Office has prescribed a mitigation method to mitigate this adverse effect determination. As a result, Illinois Central College is identifying organizations with an interest in the project and its effects to the academic building who may wish to review and/or provide comments on the prescribed mitigation of the adverse effect. Any comments or request can be made via public comment at an in-person public meeting scheduled for Wednesday January 28th at 1PM central standard time. This meeting will be held at the Illinois Central College Campus Library and Administration Building in Room CC 102 1 College Dr. East Peoria, IL 61635.
