Public Notice Valley Program for Aging Services, Inc. (VPAS) provides door through door transportation for persons 60 years and older who reside in the counties of Augusta, Bath, Highland, Rockbridge and Rockingham and the cities within, for the purpose of transporting these individuals to and from medical appointments and other community destinations. Funds are being requested from the Commonwealth of Virginia to fund the VPAS Senior Transportation program in Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro through the FTA Section 5310 Program in the amount of $78,240. The VPAS Senior Transportation program operates from 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday. We invite any interested public or private transit or paratransit operator in this service area to comment on the proposed services by sending a written notice by February 1, 2026 to the Virginia Department Rail and Public Transportation – Public Transportation Division, 600 E.
