Public Notice PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Pennsylvania American Water Company (PAWC) has prepared an Act 537 Plan Special Study for the Fairview South Wastewater Treatment and Conveyance system in Fairview Township, York County, Pennsylvania. This plan is for the sole purpose of addressing the PA DEP Act 537 requirements to complete a Special Sewage Facilities Study for the Fairview South Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project. The project is located in Fairview Township and the constructed facilities will serve the Southern portion of Fairview Township. PAWC intends to address anticipated increased capacity via an expansion project at the existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) facility. The expansion project will include the construction of a third Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) treatment basin and the addition of a new pump station that can receive all sanitary sewer flows to be pumped to the WWTP. Upon publication of this notice, a 30-day review and comment period is in effect. Anyone wishing to review and/or comment may do so during this 30-day period.
