AEP Oklahoma Transmission Company, Inc. (OK Transco) gives notice of its Application for a Certificate of Authority (COA) to construct a high-voltage transmission line in Nowata and Washington Counties for the Northeast Oklahoma Enhancement Project, or NEOTEP (the "Project").
OK Transco is proposing to build approximately 34 miles of new 345-kV transmission line from the Delaware Substation in Nowata County to the Oklahoma-Kansas border. The Project is necessary to enhance electric service reliability and quality.
On June 19, 2026, OK Transco filed an Application with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC or Commission) in Case No. PUD 2026-000047 to build a new 345 kV high-voltage transmission line ("the Project") to enhance service reliability and resiliency, reduce the frequency and duration of power outages, improve ability to deliver power during extreme weather events, optimize operations and lower cost to deliver power across the region, and improve the transmission of low-cost energy to eastern areas of the SPP footprint, including northeast Oklahoma.
The OCC has an electronic filing system where case documents, including a procedural schedule with hearing dates, may be viewed. The case filings can be viewed at https://oklahoma.gov/occ/court-dockets/electronic-case-filing.html.
Members of the public may provide written comments by mail to P.O. Public comments may also be submitted using the Corporation Commission's online form found on their website. All interested persons may appear at the hearing and be heard or may provide written comments.
