Public Notice - Tri County Council for Western MD Tri County Council for Western Maryland, Inc. will be submitting a grant application to the Maryland Transit Administration of the Maryland Department of Transportation for a section(s) 5303, 5304, 5307, 5309, 5310, 5311, 5316, and 5317 grant(s) under the Federal Transit Act and/or Statewide Coordination and Technical Assistance Grant (SCATA). The SCATA grant will have a time period of July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027. TCCWMD under the SCATA will act as the Regional Coordinating Body for transportation providers in Garrett, Allegany, Washington, and rural Frederick counties transporting elderly, disabled, mentally challenged, and low-income individuals. If significant community input is received, a formal public hearing may be scheduled at a later date. Written comments concerning this program should be submitted to TCCWMD, Attn: SCATA Plan, 11 S.
