Public Notice for Solicitation of Invitation for Bids (IFB) # AHA-2026-004 Unit Renovations NOTICE: The Abilene Housing Authority (AHA) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the renovation of four (4) residential units located at AHA-owned properties in Abilene, Texas. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, interior renovations necessary to restore units to rent-ready condition, including demolition, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, painting, and installation of fixtures and appliances, in accordance with AHA specifications and construction drawings. An optional pre-bid walkthrough will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Riviera Apartments community building located at 6001 N 6th St., Abilene, TX 79603. Bid documents, specifications, and drawings may be obtained through the Housing Agency Marketplace or the Procurement section of the Abilene Housing Authority website. AHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in accordance with applicable procurement requirements. Bid Submission Deadline: The IFB will be publicly issued on May 6, 2026, and will remain open for a period of thirty (30) days. Sealed bids must be received by 5:00 PM CDT on Friday, June 4, 2026, as outlined in the IFB documents. Late submissions will not be accepted or considered.
