Public Notice of Blasting Schedule For David H. Martin Excavating, Inc Martin Shale Pit No. 2 3900 Funk Road, Greene Township, Franklin County Notice is herein given that David H. Martin Excavating, Inc. of 4961 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17201 will be conducting blasting operations within the permitted boundary of Martin Shale Pit No. 2 (Permit No. 28900301) at 3900 Funk Road, Chambersburg, PA located on the south side of Funk Road approximately ½ mile east of the intersection of Funk Road and Rocky Springs Road. Blasting operations will occur periodically during the next year as conditions and mining operations warrant. Blasting will be scheduled during the weekdays – Monday thru Friday between the hours of 08:00 AM and 05:00 PM. Access to the shale pit will be closed during blasting operations; all unauthorized personnel will be required to leave the mine area prior to detonation of any charges. Warning of pending detonation of charges will be indicated by three (3) short blasts of an air horn. All clear will be signaled by one long sounding of an air horn. In the event of an emergency, unsafe site conditions, or poor weather conditions the blasting operations could be delayed beyond the scheduled hours. All blasting operations will be performed by licensed blasters in strict accordance with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Mining regulations. Any concerns or questions may be directed to David H.
