Public Notice of Remediation
Notice of Remediation pursuant to the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies (RCSA) Section 22a-134tt-7(d) is hereby being provided that environmental remediation activities are planned at the property located at 70 Community Avenue in Plainfield, Connecticut 06374 (CTDEEP Remediation ID No. 23366). The Remediation will be performed in accordance with the requirements of Connecticut General Statutes (CGS) 32-768 and 22a-133x, and RCSA sections 22a-134tt-1(a) to 22a-134tt-1(d), inclusive; sections 22a-134tt-7 to 22a-134tt-10, inclusive; and sections 22a-134tt-App2 to 22a-134ttApp12, inclusive.
The Property is owned by Tollgate Holdings, LLC, which has a business located at 70 Community Avenue in Plainfield, Connecticut 06374. Mr. Antonio Cassisi, representing Tollgate Holdings, LLC, and having a business address at PO Box 8907, Cranston, Rhode Island 02920, is responsible for coordinating the completion of the remediation activities. The planned physical remediation activities include the excavation of petroleum- and polychlorinated biphenyl-impacted soil for off-site disposal. The remediation will also include the recording of an Environmental Use Restriction (EUR), which will render certain soil inaccessible and/or environmentally isolated, restrict the property to non-residential use, and prevent the disturbance of non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) present in deeper soil. Remediation activities are planned to commence in the Spring of 2026.
