Public Notice to Transportation Operators
United Community & Family Services, Inc. is applying for a capital grant under Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities of the Federal Transit Act, as amended by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law legislation, to replace vehicles to be used in meeting the special transportation needs of seniors and/or individuals with disabilities in Southeastern Connecticut who attend the Ross Adult Day Center.
Any interested transit or paratransit operator in the proposed service area may review the proposed application by contacting Carolyn Trantalis, Vice President of Eldercare Services at 165 McKinley Avenue, Norwich, CT 06360 or (860) 822-4468.
A public hearing will be held if requested by interested parties. Any comments should then be sent to United Community & Family Services, Inc. with a copy to the Southeastern CT Council of Governments at 5 Connecticut Avenue, Norwich, CT 06360. Comments must be received no later than seven (7) days following publication of the Legal Notice.
