The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility Floodplain Administration, in cooperation with JE Fuller Hydrology and Geomorphology, Inc., and in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1) hereby gives notice of the intent to revise the flood hazard information, for Pima County Parcels 141-11-004B and 141-11-003D, west of Old Vail Road south of the intersection with Valencia Road. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) Case No. 26-09-0048R. Buzz Oates Development is proposing to revise the flood hazard limits as part of the proposed Old Vail Commerce Center. Once the project is completed, a Letter of Map Revision should be submitted that will, in part, revise the flood hazards for the Unnamed Tributary to Julian Wash.
As a result:
1) Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will be established along Unnamed Tributary to Julian Wash.
2) The SFHA will both increase and decrease along Unnamed Tributary to Julian Wash.
3) The Zone A Special Flood Hazard Area crossing Parcel 141-11-004B and 141-11-003D will be replaced with a Special Flood Hazard Area Zone AE.
The Zone A floodplain for the Julian Wash, north of the project, will NOT be revised as a result of this project.
