RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Carvers Creek State Park – Long Valley Farm Initial Development
Sealed proposals will be received by the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation in the Park Maintenance Building at Carvers Creek State Park (2505 Long Valley Road, Spring Lake, North Carolina, 28390) until 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2026, and will immediately thereafter be publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, equipment, and materials entering into the restoration, renovation, and construction of: Carvers Creek State Park – Long Valley Farm Initial Development.
An open MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting for Interested General Contractors* will be held at the project site, Carvers Creek State Park (2505 Long Valley Road, Spring Lake, North Carolina 28390) at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Contractors are asked to check in at the Park Office when they arrive for additional directions to the onsite meeting location.
*NOTE: The January 7, 2026 meeting is OPTIONAL for General Contractors that previously attended the November 5, 2025 Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for Interested General Contractors when this project was originally advertised for bids.
The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures, and bid forms. The meeting is also to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards that the owner will consider for approval on this project. Details regarding mailed bid submittals will be reviewed at the Pre-Bid Meeting.
In accordance with GS133-3 and SCO procedures the following preferred brand items are being considered as Alternates by the owner for this project - Alternate E-1:Owner Preferred Alternate for Bosch EV800 Series Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in Lieu of Others Specified. Justification of any approvals will be made available to the public in writing no later than seven (7) days prior to bid date.

Bidders must be duly licensed according to State of the North Carolina Statutes Chapter 87 and must complete HUB participation forms provided in the Project Manual or their bid may be considered non-responsive. The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
