REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE CITY OF SPARKS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FY 2025-2029 FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN, FY 2026-2027 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN, AND CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND HOME PROGRAMS U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FY 2025-2029 FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN PLAN YEAR 2, FY 2026-2027 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN A 30-day public comment period will begin Friday, April 10, 2026, on the proposed City of Sparks FY 2025-2029, Five-year Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Consolidated Plan, Program Year 2, FY 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan and the Citizen Participation Plan to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for funding received under the CDBG and HOME programs. Copies of the draft plans will be available beginning on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the City of Sparks, Community Services Department, 431 Prater Way, Sparks and on the website at www.cityofsparks.us. You may also call (775) 353-2386 to request a copy for review. A presentation and discussion of the FY 2025-2029, Five-year CDBG Consolidated Plan, Program Year 2, FY 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan and the Citizen Participation Plan will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in the City of Sparks Legislative Building – City Council Chambers at 745 4th Street, between the hours of 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. The city is requesting the public to comment on the proposed plans at this meeting. The public comment period will end on Monday, May 11, 2026, during the meeting of the Sparks City Council (the meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm).
