Request for Bid - Railroad Track and Bridge Rehabiliation

Request for Bid - Railroad Track and Bridge Rehabiliation Genesee and Wyoming Railroad Services is soliciting for sealed bids until 3:00pm on Friday, June 26, 2026 for two railroad track and bridge construction and rehabilitation contracts. The solicitation is in conjunction with the New York State Department of Transportation and covers work on Pan Am Southern LLC, and Rochester and Southern Railroad and includes state PINs 1935.99.301, 1936.04.301, and 4936.31.301. These are State funded grant projects subject to NYS MWBE/SDVOB goal requirements as detailed in the bid documents. Bid proposals from qualified railroad track and bridge contractors in accordance with Specifications will cover the following scope items: track construction, tie replacement, ballast distribution, track surfacing, rail replacement, turnout replacement, concrete repairs, workzone traffic control, bridge strucutral repairs, bridge jacking, and bearing replacement. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference call will be held 10:00am EDT on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
