Request for Bids - New Bloomington Playground, Marion County, OH Sealed bids for the Marion County New Bloomington Village Park Project will be received by the Board of Marion County Commissioners at the office of the Commissioners until 9:15 A.M. (Local Time) Thursday 11 December 2025 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Project will involve the material and labor for the installation of playground equipment, play area, and sidewalks to an existing park. All work must be completed by 31 August 2026. The information for bidders, form of bid, form of contract, plans, specifications, and forms of bid bond, and other documents may be examined at: the Office of the MARION COUNTY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION, Marion County Building, 2nd Floor, 222 West Center St. Marion, Ohio 43302. The full bid document can be obtained by emailing RegionalPlanning@co.marion.oh.us. Paper copies for the project may be obtained at the Office of the Marion County Regional Planning Commission in the Marion County Building, 222 West Center Street, 2nd floor, Marion, Ohio 43302 upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $10.00 per set. Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 12 noon and 1:00 to 4:30 PM. **Please note that bid documents for the projects are picked up at RPC office on 2nd floor but submitted on bid opening day to the Marion County Commissioners Office on the first floor of the Marion County Building. A bid guaranty, as required by Section 153.54 of the Revised Code of Ohio shall accompany each proposal submitted as follows, either: 1. A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid. A letter of credit may only be revocable by the Owner. OR 2. A bond or certified check for the full amount of the bid. Either will be retained for the successful bidder but returned to unsuccessful bidders after the contract is executed. A certified check must include a one (1) year warranty on the materials and on the construction work. Attention of the bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109 and E.O. 11246, completion date and pre-bid meeting. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. All bids shall be properly signed by an authorized representative of the bidder.
