Request for Bids (RFB) – Blacktop / Asphalt Paving Project Marathon County Town of Texas NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Town of Texas is accepting sealed bids for the grinding, compacting with a sheep foot roller, finish grading and blacktopping of Buffalo Ridge Rd from Grante Road North approximately 1 3/8 miles to Amarillo Lane and 100' east on Green Valley Road. The Town is requesting bids for asphalt paving with a total compacted finish thickness of 3 inches, installed in two layers. The lower layer shall consist of a minimum 1.5-inch compacted binder course using 3 MT 58-28S mix. The upper layer shall consist of approximately 1.5 inches compacted surface course using 4 MT 58-28S mix. All work shall be completed in accordance with Wisconsin DOT specifications. A certificate of Engineering stamp is required for completion of the project. Completion date of project September 15, 2026. The Town of Texas reserves the right to reduce the total tonnage of the bid. The Town of Texas reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part(s) thereof, waive any informalities in the bidding process and to accept the bid proposal or portion of the bid deemed most advantageous to the town. Bids will be accepted until 7 pm June 8, 2026. The bids will be opened at the Town of Texas regular board meeting beginning at 7 pm on June 8, 2026.
