Request for Proposal (RFP) 115-2026
Invitation
The Town of Lake Park is requesting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, permits, transportation, traffic control, and incidentals necessary to disconnect, remove, transport, and temporarily store the existing trailer currently located at 311 7th Street, Lake Park, Florida, and relocate it to the Public Works Storage Facility located on 12th Street. The Town is issuing this Request for Proposals to obtain a complete, responsive, and best-value solution for the work.
Project Summary
The Town intends to remove an existing trailer from its current location at 311 7th Street and transport it to the Public Works Storage Facility on 12th Street for temporary storage pending future surplus disposition. The selected proposer shall be responsible for field verification of all conditions necessary to complete the work safely and in compliance with all applicable requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
The proposer shall demonstrate experience performing trailer relocation, modular building relocation, heavy hauling, or closely similar work.The proposer shall hold all licenses required to perform the work described in this Request for Proposals.The proposer shall have the capability to obtain all permits, escort services, and traffic control approvals necessary for transport.The proposer shall maintain insurance coverage acceptable to the Town for this type of work.The proposer shall provide at least three references for comparable projects.
Proposal Requirements
Proposals shall be clear, complete, and organized. At a minimum, each proposal shall include the following:
Cover letter signed by an authorized representative of the proposer.Company profile, including legal name, address, primary contact, and years in business.Summary of the proposer's experience performing trailer relocation or similar work.Description of the proposer's proposed approach and methodology for completing the work.Proposed schedule showing anticipated start and completion.Lump-sum price for the complete scope of work.List of assumptions and exclusions.At least three references for comparable work.Statement confirming that the proposer has visited the site and verified conditions.Confirmation that all required permits, traffic control, labor, equipment, hauling, and incidentals are included in the proposal.Proof of applicable contractor licensing and insurance.Any suggested alternate pricing.
Alternate Pricing
For better comparison, the Town may request or consider the following separate pricing items:
Alternate 1. Removal and separate storage of the aluminum ramp and stairs.Alternate 2. Additional site restoration beyond the base scope.Alternate 3. Any special transport method required if the trailer cannot be hauled on its own chassis.
Evaluation and Award
The Town intends to evaluate proposals and may award a contract to the proposer whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the Town, taking into account price and other evaluation factors. The Town reserves the right to request clarifications, conduct interviews, request a best and final offer, negotiate final scope and pricing, and reject any or all proposals.
Proposals may be evaluated using criteria that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Relevant experience with similar trailer or modular structure relocation projects.Understanding of the project and completeness of the proposed approach.Capability to safely perform the work, including transport planning, permitting, and traffic control.Project schedule and ability to meet the Town's desired timeframe.Price and overall value to the Town.Quality of references and demonstrated past performance.
Questions and Addenda
Questions regarding this Request for Proposals shall be directed to the Town Clerk's Office. Any interpretation, correction, or change to this solicitation will be made by a written addendum issued by the Town, if applicable. Only written addenda issued by the Town shall be binding.
