Rezoning Petition- 6-1/2026 CITY OF LAWRENCE COMMON COUNCIL - LAWRENCE ~ MARION COUNTY, INDIANA - June 1, 2026 Notice is hereby given that the City of Lawrence Common Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 1, 2026, beginning at 6:30pm at the Lawrence Government Center, in the Public Assembly Room , 9001 E 59th St, Lawrence, IN 46216 for the following petition: 26-LZO-03 ~ 8530 N Carroll Rd, Parcel4020749; City of Lawrence: LCD#6; Zoned DA. Petitioner Jackson Conley requests rezoning from DA to D3. The request is associated with a proposed subdivision of the parcel into two (2) lots: Lot 1: 1.297 acres; Lot 2: 1.148 acres. The resulting parcels will no longer meet the minimum lot size requirement of the DA district, which requires a minimum of three (3) acres per lot. The address of the proposal listed above is approximate and should be confirmed with the Department of Public Works. Copies of the proposal are available for examination prior to the hearing via request by email to mcampbell@cityoflawrence.org Written objections to a proposal may be filed with the Secretary of the Lawrence Board of Zoning Appeals, as appropriate, before the hearing at the above address, and such objections will be considered. At the hearing, all interested people will be given an opportunity to be heard in reference to the matters contained in said proposals.
