You're invited to join us at the Rural Lands Analysis & Salmon Recovery in Local Planning Open House held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 5:30 – 7 P.M. at the Kitsap County Administration Building in the Commissioners' Chambers, 619 Division St, Port Orchard, WA 98366. Kitsap County is evaluating rural land use patterns, policies, and regulations in unincorporated areas of the county to better understand current conditions and support future planning decisions. Additionally, the County is analyzing existing salmon recovery plans and data to develop a set of salmon recovery strategies that intersect and align with land use planning and policy implementation in Kitsap County. As part of this effort, the County is seeking community input on the opportunities, challenges, and priorities that shape rural Kitsap County.Share your ideas on rural development, working lands, salmon recovery, infrastructure, and community character.The event will include a children's activities table featuring games, puzzles and coloring pages.
