The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold public hearings in November and again in December on proposed changes in rates for 2026, due to increased capital and operating costs. The Board will also hold a public hearing in November and again in December on the proposed 2026 utility operating budget.
The first public hearings will be held during the regular board meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The purpose of the first public hearings is to gather public input. No action will be taken at the November 12 board meeting. The second and final public hearings will be held during SUB's regular board meeting on Wednesday, December 10.
