Summer Township planning commission public hearing SUMMERFIELD TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Summerfield Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing in conjunction with its regular meeting on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the Summerfield Township Hall, 15 East Center Street, Petersburg, Michigan. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive public comment on the following proposed zoning ordinance amendments: An amendment to the Extraction Ordinance to reduce the minimum acreage requirement from 60 acres to 30 acres.An amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction of an accessory building prior to the erection of the principal structure. All interested persons are invited to attend and comment. Written comments may be submitted to the Township prior to the meeting. Copies of the proposed amendments are available for public inspection at the Township Hall during regular business hours. Summerfield Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired, upon advance notice to the Township Clerk.
