Summons and Notice of Adoption By Publication STATE OF INDIANA COUNTY OF LAWRENCE IN THE LAWRENCE CIRCUIT COURT CAUSE NO: 47C01-2603-AD-000012 IN RE: THE MATTER OF THE PETITION OF CHARLES JEREMIAH TURNER TO ADOPT DELILAH ROSE ALANNAH JOHNSON AS HIS CHILD AND HEIR AT LAW AND CHANGE HER NAME TO DELILAH ROSE ALANNAH TURNER SUMMONS AND NOTICE OF ADOPTION BY PUBLICATION TO: Hunter Levi Johnson Address Unknown AND Mother of Hunter Levi Johnson (aka Nicole Brown) Address Unknown Notice is hereby given to Hunter Levi Johnson, who is the biological father, and to the grandparent, Nicole Brown, who is the paternal grandparent, that a Petition for Adoption of a child named Delilah Rose Alannah Johnson, born to Breanna Noel Berk (now Turner) on November 3, 2021, was filed by Charles Jeremiah Turner, in the office of the Clerk of the Lawrence Circuit Court located at 916 15th Street, Court House, Bedford, Indiana 47421 on March 4, 2026. The Petition for Adoption alleges that the consent of Hunter Levi Johnson to the adoption is not required because he has failed to provide for the care and support of the child. If Hunter Levi Johnson seeks to contest the adoption of the child, Hunter Levi Johnson must file a motion to contest the adoption in accordance with IC 31-19-10-1 in the above-named court not later than fifteen (15) days after the date of service of this notice. If Hunter Levi Johnson does not file a motion to contest the adoption within fifteen (15) days after service of this notice the above-named court will hear and determine the Petition for Adoption. The consent of Hunter Levi Johnson to the adoption will be irrevocably implied and Hunter Levi Johnson will lose the right to contest either the adoption or the validity of Hunter Levi Johnson's implied consent to the adoption. A notice to a grandparent required under Indiana Code 31-19-2.5-3 is limited to the issue of visitation and may not be used to contest an adoption. The Petitioner also filed an Affidavit in Support of Praecipe for Service by Publication. The whereabouts of Nicole Brown, the paternal grandmother of Delilah Rose Alannah Johnson, after diligent search and inquiry, are unknown, and therefore this Notice of Adoption is being given by publication.
