ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Farmington Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 7:00PM in the Municipal Offices Building, 356 Main Street, to hold a Public Hearing for a Variance Request by Union Telephone Company, Tax Map U5, Lot 175. A request has been made for a Variance under Section 2.05 (C)(2) – Special Considerations, to allow for residential uses on the first floor of an existing building as part of a mixed-use redevelopment proposal where such uses on lots with frontage on Main Street, Central Street, and Spring Street are prohibited. The subject property is located at 7 Central Street and is in the Village Center zoning district.

A request has been made for a Variance under Section 1.04 – Lots Split by Zoning District Boundaries, whereas after a voluntary merger is completed, to allow the provisions set forth in the underlining zoning applicable to the smaller area (Village Center) to govern the larger area (Urban Residential) of the newly merged lot. The subject properties are located on Central Street and Grove Street and are in the Village Center and Urban Residential zoning districts.
