TOWN OF MARCY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF MARCY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RE: PROPOSED LOCAL LAW ESTABLISHING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON AND PROHIBITION OF LARGE-SCALE SOLAR INSTALLATION AND BATTERY STORAGE SYSTEMS WITHIN THE TOWN OF MARCY PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the Town Board for the Town of Marcy, Oneida County, New York, on Thursday the 28th day of May, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. prior to the Regular Meeting, at the Marcy Municipal Building and Town Hall, located at 8801 Paul Becker Road, Marcy, New York, to hear all interested persons concerning the adoption of a proposed Local Law entitled: "A Local Law Establishing a Temporary Moratorium Prohibiting Large-Scale Solar Installation and Battery Storage Systems Within the Town of Marcy." TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed Local Law would establish a temporary moratorium, for a period of up to twelve (12) months, on the acceptance, processing, and approval of applications for large-scale solar installations and battery storage systems within the Town of Marcy while the Town reviews and considers potential amendments to its zoning and land use regulations. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the environmental significance of the proposed Local Law will be reviewed by the Town Board of the Town of Marcy incident to, and as part of, said Public Hearing. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the proposed Local Law is available for review at the Office of the Town Clerk, 8801 Paul Becker Road, Marcy, New York, during normal office hours Monday through Thursday from 8:30 A.M. until 4:00 P.M., and Friday from 8:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.; or may be viewed online at townofmarcy.org. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the building is accessible to persons with physical disabilities.
