BOND ORDINANCE STATEMENT AND SUMMARY
The ordinance O-31-2025, the summary terms of which are included herein, has been finally adopted by the Town of Morristown, in the County of Morris, State of New Jersey on September 29, 2025 and the 20 day period of limitation within which a suit, action or proceeding questioning the validity of such ordinance can be commenced, as provided in the Local Bond Law, has begun to run from the date of the first publication of this statement. Copies of the full ordinance are available at no cost and during regular business hours at the Clerk's office for members of the general public who request the same. The summary of the terms of such ordinance follows:
Title: ORDINANCE REAPPROPRIATING $55,322 PROCEEDS OF OBLIGATIONS NOT NEEDED FOR THEIR ORIGINAL PURPOSE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF PLAYGROUNDS AT VICTOR WOODHULL PARK AND/OR ORCHARD STREET PARK IN AND BY THE TOWN OF MORRISTOWN, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY
Purpose: To reappropriate $55,322 proceeds of obligations made available pursuant to Ordinance #O-4-2017 of the Town, finally adopted February 28, 2017, to provide the replacement of playgrounds at Victor Woodhull Park and/or Orchard Street Park, including the demolition, removal and disposal of the existing play structures, borders and play surface with the furnishing and installation of replacements for same, including all related costs and expenditures incidental thereto and further including all work and materials necessary therefor and incidental thereto.
