TOWN OF MORRISTOWN MORRIS COUNTY, NJ NOTICE OF PENDING ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ordinances published herewith by title were introduced and passed upon first reading at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Morristown, in the County of Morris, NJ, held on September 29, 2025. They are scheduled for a Planning Board consistency review on October 23, 2025, followed by a public hearing at a meeting of said Town Council to be held in Council chambers at 200 South Street in said Town on October 28, 2025. Formal action may be taken. ORDINANCE O-35-2025 ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE "CODE OF THE TOWN OF MORRISTOWN," SECTION 30-207 REGARDING THE PLANNED WALKABLE NEIGHBORHOOD ZONING DISTRICT OVERLAY Purpose: To amend Chapter 30, Section 30-207 regarding the planned walkable neighborhood zoning district overlay consistent with the Housing Element and Fair Share Plan to address the Fourth Round of Affordable Housing obligations ORDINANCE O-36-2025 ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE "CODE OF THE TOWN OF MORRISTOWN" REGARDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING, TO ADDRESS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT AND THE UNIFORM HOUSING AFFORDABILITY CONTROLS (UHAC) AND TO COMPLY WITH THE TOWN'S ROUND FOUR AFFORDABLE HOUSING OBLIGATIONS Purpose: To amend Chapter 30 of the Code of the Town of Morristown regarding Affordable Housing, to address the requirements of the Fair Housing Act and the Uniform Housing Affordability Controls and to comply with the Town's round four affordable housing obligations At the date and time stated for further consideration, a public hearing shall be held where all persons interested shall be given an opportunity to be heard concerning this ordinance. The time and date for further consideration of this ordinance is subject to amendment by the Town Council of the Town of Morristown. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of said ordinances will be made available in the Office of the Town Clerk located at 200 South Street, in said Town, to the members of the public who shall request same.
