TOWN OFLINWOOD, PORTAGE COUNTY REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Town of Linwood 3160 Mill Creek Drive Stevens Point, WI 54481 is requesting
bids for the following (LRIP) road project: West River Drive West
(From 650 ft south of Blue Heron Lane going south for 4,900 ft) LRIP Project: #19594
Technical Specifications:
Contractor is responsible for all traffic control. This consists of barricading, flagging,
and advanced Signage consistent with Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
(MUTCD) Low shoulder signage shall be provided by the contractor.
Prep & Paving:
-70-Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement (HMCA) Travel Width: Per Lane 11 ft (22ft)
-Mill, Butt Joints at Project Ends and Driveways as needed to allow for the Overlay
to Match Adjacent Pavement.
-Clean, Sweep and Apply Tack Coat Prior to Wedging.
-Wedge the Existing Pavement with WisDOT Spec Type LT Asphalt Mix Compacted
to an Average Thickness of 1 Inch.
-Apply Tack Coat Prior to Paving Surface.
-Pave the Surface with WisDOT Spec Type LT Asphalt Mix Compacted to an Average
Thickness of 1.75 Inches. (Total Thickness of Two Lifts 2.75 Inches)
-Forta-Fi Reinforcement Fiber to the Asphalt Surface Layer.
Shouldering:
-Furnish and Install ¾ Inch Base for 2 ft Shoulders and Driveway Approaches.
Engineer Certification is required for this project and Certificate of Liability Insurance.
Work must comply with WisDOT Specifications for materials and workmanship.
Bidding Procedure:
All bidders must complete a proposal form and submit it in a sealed envelope marked
Bid (West River Drive West Project). Specifications/Bid proposal form can be obtained
by contacting the Town Clerk at (715)345-9516. Direct all other inquiries to the Town

must be marked and sent to: Town of Linwood Clerk, Denise Hulce 2278 Bluebird Lane
Stevens Point, WI 54481. Sealed Bids are due by 4:00 p.m., Monday, June 15th, 2026.
Sealed bids will be opened at a scheduled Town Board Meeting on Tuesday, June 16th,
2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Linwood Town Hall, located at 3160 Mill Creek Drive. No bid
may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after scheduled bid opening.
The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids; to waive any conditions of
bidding; or to accept any bid that may be most advantageous to the Town of Linwood.
