PUBLIC NOTICE
BOND ORDINANCE #1241-25 STATEMENT AND SUMMARY
The bond ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, has been finally adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Rochelle Park, in the County of Bergen, State of New Jersey on August 27, 2025 and the twenty (20) day period of limitation within which a suit, action or proceeding questioning the validity of such ordinance can be commenced, as provided in the Local Bond Law, has begun to run from the date of the first publication of this statement. Copies of the full ordinance are available at no cost and during regular business hours at the Clerk's office for members of the general public who request the same. The summary of the terms of such bond ordinance follows:
Title: BOND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS 2025 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND ACQUISITIONS, BY AND IN THE TOWNSHIP OF ROCHELLE PARK, IN THE COUNTY OF BERGEN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY; APPROPRIATING $665,500 THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $633,300 BONDS OR NOTES OF THE TOWNSHIP TO FINANCE PART OF THE COSTS THEREOF
Purpose(s): The Bond Ordinance provides for various capital improvements and acquisitions within the Township, including but not limited to, (a) repairs to cracked and damaged sidewalks and including, as applicable, the purchase and planting of trees; (b) sanitary sewer main relining project; (c) purchase of a wood chipper for the Department of Public Works; (d) acquisition and replacement of various equipment for the Fire Department; (e) acquisition of various equipment for the Police Department; (f) acquisition of computers and software for the Technology Department; (g) renovations at the Police Department, including, but not limited to, the sallyport, floors and walls; and (h) various park acquisitions and improvements to Carlock Field, Houghton Hall and Matthews Field and sidewalk and ramp improvements and upgrades at Houghton Hall.
