TOWNSHIP OF VERONA ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT NOTICE OF HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: That the undersigned has filed an application to the Zoning Board of Adjustment in the Township of Verona (the "Board") pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-70(a)seeking to appeal the determination of the Verona Zoning Officer or N.J.S.A. 40:55D-70(b) seeking an interpretation of the Verona Zoning Ordinance regarding the Zoning Officer's determination to rescind Zoning Permit No. 2022-275 which approved the mixed-use of the subject property to include a business that hosts private themed parties and provides limited on-site food and beverage service for the parties and to the general public at property commonly known as 555 Bloomfield Avenue and also known as Block 1806, Lot 19 on the Tax Maps of the Township of Verona. The subject property is located in a TC Zone and it is the applicant's position that the current mixed-use of the building to include the business that hosts private themed parties and provides limited on-site food and beverage service is permitted in the zone. The applicant is appealing the zoning officer's determination that said use is not permitted in the TC Zone and is further appealing the zoning officer's decision to rescind the previously issued Zoning Permit No. 2022-275 which was issued on February 22, 2023. This application is listed on the Clerk's calendar, and a public hearing has been set for Thursday July 9, 2026 at 7:30 pm at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, New Jersey, at which time you may appear either in person, by agent, or by attorney, and present any comments, questions, or objections which you may have to the granting of this application. Copies of all documents related to this application are available for public inspection at least 10 days before the hearing in the Office of the Zoning Board, Verona Municipal Building, 600 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, New Jersey during normal business hours.
