Invitation to Bid
The Taylorville Public Library and the Taylorville Library Board are soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the Library Roof & Restoration/Remodel at the Taylorville Library, 121 West Vine Street, Taylorville, Illinois 62568.The General Scope of Work for the project consists of, but is not limited to, the removal old damaged roof, restoration, remodel and replacement.
The Specifications, Bid Documents and Contractor's Qualification Statement can be picked up at the Taylorville Public Library between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday, 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, and 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday. These documents can also be requested via email at director@taylorvillelibrary.org.
Bidders must attend the Pre-Bid meeting scheduled for Monday, September 29 at 1 P.M. in the Community Room to review the documents and inspect the existing damage at the Taylorville Public Library.
Bid Opening Date: October 13, 2025
Bid Opening Time: Any bids received after 1:00 P.M. will be rejected.
Contractor and Subcontractors shall include bids, the cost for the current prevailing wage (Illinois Prevailing Wage Act – 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq.). The contractor shall ensure that any Subcontractors shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act.
Bids will be received at the Taylorville Public Library, 121 West Vine Street, Taylorville, IL 62568. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked: Sealed Bid – Roofing Project
The Taylorville Library and the Library Board have the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities in the proposals and/or awarding process.
