Town Monthly Minutes Town of Cheneyville 201 Derboune Street Cheneyville, LA 71325 May 13, 2026 Regular Call Meeting Call to Order: The regular call meeting for the Town of Cheneyville was called to order by Mayor Ronny Green, Jr., @ 6:00pm on May 13, 2026. A quorum was determined. The invocation and pledge was led by Mayor Ronny Green, Jr. Attendance: In attendance was Mayor Ronny Green, Jr., Councilwoman Sheila Brown, Councilwoman Ruby Crawford, Councilwoman Sandy Naquin, Councilwoman Rebecca Cook. Absent: Councilman Charles Collins. Public Comments: Mayor Ronny Green, Jr. opened the floor to public comments. Mr. Levi Olinde stood up and made comments concerning the Cheneyville Police Department and lack of officers. Agenda Items: Amotion was made by Sandy Naquin to approve April 18, 2026, minutes and seconded by Sheila Brown. Yeas: All Nays: 0 Motion carried. A motion was made by Rebecca Cook to approve April 2026, bills and seconded by Sandy Naquin. Yeas: All Nays: 0 Motion carried. A motion was made by Sandy Naquin and seconded by Rebecca Cook to amend the agenda to introduce the proposed ordinance for dumping. Yeas: All Nays: 0 Motion carried. A motion was made by Rebecca Cook and seconded by Sandy Naquin to introduce the fines ordinance for increase. Yeas: All Nays: 0 Motion carried. A motion was made by Sandy Naquin and seconded by Rebecca Cook to introduce the backflow preventive ordinance. Yeas: All Nays: 0 Motion carried. A motion was made by Sandy Naquin and seconded by Ruby Crawford to approve publication for the ordinances. Yeas: All Nays: 0 Motion carried.
