Notice of Public Hearing
The Ellettsville Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on the 9th day of July, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Ellettsville Town Hall located at 1150 W. Guy McCown Drive, to consider a petition by Dan Rarey, Case Number PC 26-22, for consideration of a request for voluntary annexation. The subject parcels are located at 5328 W. Woodyard Road and 5326 W. Woodyard Road, approximately 47.86 acres, and is more fully described herein as:
5328 W. Woodyard Road, Lot 2A: Lot 2A Dan Rarey Type "E" Administrative Subdivision Amendment 1.
5326 W. Woodyard Road:
A part of the Northwest quarter of Section 23, township 9 North, Range 2 West, Monroe County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at a point 767.00 feet North of the Southeast comer of said Northwest quarter; thence south 85 degrees 18 minutes West for 278.00 feet; thence South 29 degrees 16 minutes 20 seconds East for 172.33 feet; thence South 89 degrees 24 minutes 40 seconds West for 88.39 feet and to the West right-of-way of the Old Monon Railroad; thence along the railroad right-of-way the following directions and dimensions: North 29 degrees 16 minutes 20 seconds West for 140.56 feet; North 27 degrees 15 minutes 20 seconds West for 184.64 feet; North 26 degrees 50 minutes West for 179.70 feet; North 25 degrees 10 minutes West for 178.91 feet; North 23 degrees 17 minutes West for 178.42 feet; North 21 degrees 44 minutes West for 208.09 feet; North 19 degrees 28 minutes 40 seconds West for 1052.66 feet and to a point 7.5 rods South of the North line of Section 23. Thence South 88 degrees 28 minutes 30 seconds East, running parallel to said North line for 1087.35 feet and to the East line of said Northwest quarter. Thence South 00 degrees 06 minutes 27 seconds East for 1755.69 feet along said East line, and to the point of beginning, containing in all 31.164 acres. As shown in corrected survey by Raymond Graham, Registered Surveyor No. 8409, dated July 16, 1996. Interested persons desiring to present their views upon said request, either verbally or in writing, will be given the opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned time and place. Written suggestions or objections to provisions of said request may be submitted to the Ellettsville Planning Department prior to 11:00 a.m. on the day of the hearing. The hearing may be continued from time to time as necessary.
