Town of Hamilton Notice of Public Hearing NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Hamilton, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on September 11, 2025, proposed Local Law No. A-2025, titled, "A Local Law Overriding the Tax Levy Limit Established in General Municipal Law §3-C in the Town of Hamilton." Said Local Law, if enacted, will override the limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied by the Town of Hamilton and allow the Town of Hamilton to adopt a Town budget for the fiscal year 2026 in excess of the "tax levy limit." The full text of said Local Law is on file at the Town Clerk's Office at the Town Offices located at 38 Milford Street in the Town of Hamilton for inspection by all interested persons, and available online at https://www.townofhamiltonny.gov. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on September 11, 2025 the Town Board determined that this proposed Local Law is an Unlisted Action in connection with SEQRA and determined that the Town Board will act as lead agency in this matter. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law at the Town Hall located at 38 Milford Street in the Town of Hamilton on October 9, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard. The public may mail or electronically submit comments on proposed Local Law No. A-2025 to the Town Clerk at townclerk@townofhamiltonny.gov by noon on October 9, 2025. SUZANNE K.
