Town of Kennebunkport Public Notice On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Town of Kennebunkport will begin issuing the following 2026 Shellfish Licenses. Licenses will be issued at the Village Fire Station, 32 North Street, from 9 am to 10 am. Any remaining licenses after 10 am will be sold at Town Hall, 6 Elm Street starting on Monday, April 13th at 8 am. 55 Resident Recreational Licenses - $15 each 25 Senior Resident Recreational (65+) Licenses – Free 10 Non-resident Recreational Licenses - $30 each 3 Senior Non-resident Recreational Licenses – Free 2 Resident Commercial Licenses -$125 each *No Non-resident Commercial Licenses will be issued this year On July 13, 2026, any Resident Recreational licenses not sold will be available for sale without regard to residency on a first come, first served basis. All applicants for residential recreational or commercial shellfish licenses must provide of acceptable identification showing their current residence address in Kennebunkport. The flats will only be open for digging on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Recreational diggers may harvest one peck per week for personal consumption. Commercial diggers may harvest two pecks per day.
