Township of Riverside Notice and Certification of Pending Ordinance This Ordinance, the summary and terms of which are included herein, was introduced and passed upon the first reading at a Regular Meeting of the Township Committee of the Township of Riverside, in the County of Burlington, State of New Jersey, on September 15, 2025. This Ordinance will be further considered for final passage, after a public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the Governing Body to be held at the Riverside Township Municipal Building, 1 W. Scott Street in the Township of Riverside on October 20, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of the full Ordinance will be available at no cost and during the regular business hours at the Municipal Clerk's Office for the members of the general public who shall request the same. The summaries and terms of such Ordinance are as follows: Title: 2025-#13 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RIVERSIDE REGULATING THE USE OF ELECTRIC BICYCLES WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP." Purpose: This Ordinance regulates the operation of electric bicycles within the Township of Riverside in order to protect public safety, prevent conflicts between pedestrians, bicyclists, and motor vehicles, and ensure compliance with New Jersey law governing the use of electric bicycles.
