Tri-City Schools - Asbestos Abatement The Board of Education for Tri-City C.U.S.D. #1 will receive sealed bids from prequalified licensed asbestos abatement contractors at the Office of the Superintendent, 324 W. Charles Street, Buffalo, Illinois, 62515 for: Asbestos Abatement Tri-City Schools 324 W. Charles Street Buffalo, Illinois 62515 Bids shall be delivered in a sealed bid envelope to the Superintendent, 324 W. Charles Street, Buffalo, Illinois 62515, prior to 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Generally, the work includes removal and disposal of floor tile, mastic, ceiling tile, and window caulking in accordance with all federal and state rules and regulations. Bids shall include: 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. 2. Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of Bid. 3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. Specifications and Drawings are available via email from the architect, Allen Service Corporation, 217-793-1761, or from Central Illinois Plan Room at their website plans@ciplanroom.com. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form, Section 00300, of this Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to the Tri-City C.U.S.D. #1. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid shall be cause for rejection of bid. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Tri-City Schools on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 3:15 p.m. The Board of Education for Tri-City C.U.S.D. #1 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted.
