THIS SUMMONS IS DIRECTED TO: Victor Florea
1. YOU ARE BEING SUED. The plaintiff has started a personal injury lawsuit against you. A copy of the Plaintiff's Complaint against you is on file and may be obtained from the office of the Clerk of the Court, US District Court, District of Vermont, 11 Elmwood Avenue, Room 200 Burlington, VT 05401. A copy of Plaintiff's Complaint is also available from Plaintiff's Counsel at Sabbeth Law, PLLC, Chandler Bellanca, Esq. who can be reached at (802)-457-1112 or by email at cjb@sabbethlaw.com.
2. PLAINTIFF'S CLAIM. Plaintiff's claim is for money damages arising from injuries she suffered in a ski collision at Sugarbush Resort on March 22, 2025. Plaintiff alleges that defendant is liable for the collision and her injuries.
3. YOU MUST REPLY WITHIN 21 DAYS TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS. You must serve your response to the Plaintiff's complaint – whether an answer or other responsive pleading – upon the office of Plaintiff's counsel at Sabbeth Law, PLLC, located at 201 Dewitt Drive, Suite 1, White River Junction, VT 05001 and file the original with the US District Court, District of Vermont, 11 Elmwood Avenue, Room 200 Burlington, VT 05401, within 21 days of July 30, 2026 or by August 20, 2026 at the latest.
4. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR CASE IF YOU DO NOT GIVE YOUR WRITTEN ANSWER TO THE COURT. If you do not send the Plaintiff and the Court your Answer within 21 days after first publication, you may lose this case. The Court may decide against you and award the Plaintiff the relief requested in the Complaint.
5. YOU MUST MAKE ANY CLAIMS AGAINST THE PLAINTIFF IN YOUR REPLY. Your Answer must state any related legal claims you have against the Plaintiff. Your claims against the Plaintiff are called Counterclaims. If you do not make your Counterclaims in writing in your Answer, you may not be able to bring them up at all.
6. LEGAL ASSISTANCE. You may wish to get legal help from a lawyer. If you cannot afford a lawyer, you should ask the Court Clerk for information about places where you may be able to get free legal help. Even if you cannot get legal help, you must still give the Court a written Answer to protect your rights or you may lose the case.
ORDER
By entry dated July 9, 2026, the Court authorized Plaintiff to effect service by publication under V.R.C.P. 4(d)(1)and 4(g). The Court ordered that publication must be made in a designated newspaper or newspapers of general circulation reasonably calculated to give notice to the defendant.
This Summons and Order shall be published once a week for two successive weeks in the Argus Leader, an online or print news service of general circulation covering Sioux Falls South Dakota, the Sun Current, an online or print news service of general circulation covering Edina, Minnesota, and The Star Tribune, an online or print news service of general circulation covering the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Area and a copy of this Summons and Order as published shall be mailed to Defendant Victor Florea at 5705 Hawkes Drive Edina, MN 55436.
