NOTICE OF PERMIT FILING
Pursuant to the public notice requirements of 40 CFR §§ 147.3101 and 124.10(d), the American Environmental Landfill (AEL) hereby provides notice of its intent to submit an application for a Class I Non-Hazardous Underground Injection Control (UIC) Well.
The proposed injection well would be located at 36.163287, -96.178073, approximately three (3) miles northwest of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, in southern Osage County, at the American Environmental Landfill. The legal description of the proposed well location is Government Lots 2 and 3 of Section 31, Township 20 North, Range 11 East, in Osage County, Oklahoma.
The American Environmental Landfill is an existing, permitted facility located at 207 North 177th West Avenue, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, operating under Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) Permit No. 3557021.
The proposed application will request authorization to construct and operate a Class I non-hazardous UIC well for the injection of non-hazardous liquid waste.
Upon completion of the technical review and preparation of a draft permit decision, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 6, will issue a separate public notice. That notice will identify where the full application and supporting materials may be reviewed, provide information regarding access to the administrative record, and outline procedures for submitting public comments or requesting a public hearing.
